Terms of
Use

What the platform expects from you, and what you can expect from us.

Last updated August 21, 2026

Ridalo.al is an intermediary platform. The rental contract is made between you and the business that owns the vehicle - not between you and us.

1. Introduction and acceptance of these terms

Welcome to Ridalo.al, an online marketplace for renting vehicles in Albania and the surrounding regions. By accessing our website or app and using our services, you agree to comply with these Terms of Use (the "Terms").

These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Ridalo.al, and govern your rights and obligations while using the website, the app, the booking system, and related services (together, the "Platform").

Ridalo.al connects travelers with independent, professional vehicle rental businesses throughout Albania. Users who list vehicles are called "Businesses" (or "Providers"), while those who search, inquire, or book a vehicle are called "Customers." Ridalo.al, as the operator of the Platform, does not own, control, or manage any of the listed vehicles, and does not operate as a rental company, travel agency, or insurer. Ridalo.al does not act as the agent of either the Business or the Customer, except where expressly stated otherwise in these Terms. When a booking is confirmed, the Customer and the relevant Business enter into a rental agreement directly with each other (the "Rental Agreement"); Ridalo.al is not a party to that agreement.

The Ridalo.al platform is operated by Elvis Cuni, with tax ID (NIPT) M51924502F and registered address in Durrës, Sukth, Vadardhe village, Albania. In these Terms, the terms "Ridalo.al," "we," and "our" refer to this entity.

By accessing or using the Platform, creating an account, making a booking, or making a payment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

2. What Ridalo.al does

Ridalo.al operates an online marketplace that allows Customers to search for vehicles, compare offers, review information provided by Businesses, submit bookings, pay the Booking Fee online, and obtain information about Businesses.

Ridalo.al is an intermediary and marketplace operator - not, except where expressly stated otherwise, a vehicle owner, rental provider, rental insurer, or a party to the Rental Agreement between the Customer and the Business.

The actual vehicle rental is carried out by the relevant Business.

3. The rental contract

When a Customer books a vehicle through Ridalo.al, the Customer and the Business enter (or agree to enter) into a separate rental relationship, subject to the Business's terms and applicable law. Ridalo.al is not a party to that agreement.

The Business is solely responsible for ensuring that the vehicle is legally available, in good technical condition, adequately insured, ready at the agreed pick-up time, and that the rental is carried out in accordance with the law and its own terms.

The Customer is responsible for complying with the rental terms set by the Business.

4. Rental businesses

Ridalo.al aims to list professional, legally registered businesses.

Before allowing a Business to offer vehicles, Ridalo.al may request and/or verify information such as the legal/trade name, registration details, tax ID (NIPT), address, phone number, email, the identity of the owner or authorized representative, payment details, vehicle registration details, insurance information, and documents proving the right to rent out the vehicle.

Ridalo.al may refuse, suspend, or remove a Business or a vehicle if the required information is missing, the information appears inaccurate or misleading, the documents cannot be verified, the vehicle appears unsafe or offered in violation of the law, the Business breaches applicable terms, receives repeated, substantiated complaints, or Ridalo.al reasonably believes that continuing the listing creates a legal, safety, or reputational risk.

5. Vehicle listings

Businesses are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the information they publish, including the make, model, year, transmission, fuel type, number of seats, luggage capacity, rental price, availability, pick-up location, mileage and fuel policy, age and driving license requirements, security deposit, requirements for an additional driver, cancellation terms, additional fees, and photographs.

Ridalo.al may display information provided by Businesses, but does not guarantee that every listing will always be free of errors.

Customers must review the relevant listing and the Business's terms before booking.

6. Prices

The rental price shown on the Platform is the price set by the Business for the relevant period.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, the rental price does not necessarily include additional amounts that may arise under the Rental Agreement, such as the security deposit, fuel, road tolls, traffic or parking fines, additional driver fees, child seat fees, delivery or pick-up fees, damage fees, late fees, optional insurance, or other extras.

Any such additional fee must be disclosed by the Business when applicable.

7. The Ridalo.al Booking Fee

Unless stated otherwise during the payment process, Ridalo.al charges a Booking Fee equal to 8% of the applicable rental price.

The Booking Fee is paid online by the Customer to Ridalo.al at the time of booking.

The remainder of the rental price is paid directly by the Customer to the Business, according to the Business's payment terms.

The Booking Fee represents the fee charged in connection with Ridalo.al's online booking and intermediation service.

8. Payment

The Customer authorizes Ridalo.al and its payment service providers to process the Booking Fee when a booking is submitted.

Payments may be processed through third-party providers used by Ridalo.al.

Ridalo.al does not store full payment card data, except where expressly stated otherwise in the Privacy Policy and permitted by law.

The Business is responsible for collecting the remainder of the rental price and any security deposit or additional fee directly from the Customer, except where Ridalo.al expressly states otherwise.

9. Booking confirmation

A booking request is not necessarily considered accepted until the Platform confirms the booking.

Where the Platform offers instant booking, the booking is considered confirmed as soon as Ridalo.al displays or sends the confirmation to the Customer. Where confirmation from the Business is required, the booking is not considered confirmed until the Business accepts the request.

Ridalo.al may cancel or refuse a booking if the vehicle is not available, the Business does not confirm it, the information provided is clearly inaccurate, fraud is suspected, there is a technical error affecting availability or price, or circumstances beyond Ridalo.al's control prevent it from being carried out.

10. Cancellation by the Customer

Unless a different cancellation policy is expressly displayed for a particular booking, the following applies: if the Customer cancels more than 5 days before the scheduled pick-up date, 100% of the Booking Fee paid is refunded and Ridalo.al retains no portion of it. If the Customer cancels 5 days or less before the pick-up date, the Booking Fee is not refunded.

The applicable cancellation policy must be clearly displayed during the booking process, before the Customer completes payment.

This policy concerns only the Booking Fee paid to Ridalo.al. Any other fee or cancellation right under the Rental Agreement with the Business is governed by the Business's own terms.

11. Customer no-show

If the Customer does not show up to pick up the vehicle without cancelling the booking under the applicable cancellation policy, the Booking Fee is normally not refunded.

The Business may have additional rights under its own Rental Agreement, including in relation to any security deposit or other guarantee it holds directly.

12. Cancellation by the Business

If a Business cancels a confirmed booking because the booked vehicle is not available or the Business cannot fulfill the booking, Ridalo.al may, where reasonably possible, help the Customer find an alternative vehicle or fully refund the Booking Fee.

If the Customer accepts an alternative vehicle, any price difference is handled according to the terms communicated to the Customer.

Ridalo.al is not liable for consequential damages such as flights, hotels, missed activities, alternative transport costs, lost vacation time or income, or other indirect losses, except where the law does not allow the exclusion of liability.

13. Vehicle pick-up

The Customer must show up at the pick-up location at the agreed time and provide the documentation required by the Business.

Depending on the Business and the vehicle, this may include a valid passport or identity document, a valid driving license, an international driving permit where legally required, a credit/debit card, additional identification, and a security deposit.

A Customer who does not meet the Business's legal requirements may be refused the vehicle.

Ridalo.al is not liable for a Business's refusal where the Customer does not meet the disclosed or legal requirements.

14. Driver age and license requirements

There is no universal minimum age applicable to every vehicle listed on Ridalo.al.

The minimum age, driving experience, and license requirements may vary depending on the Business, the vehicle, insurance requirements, applicable law, and the jurisdiction of the Customer's license.

Applicable requirements must be displayed by the Business where reasonably possible. The Customer is responsible for meeting them before booking and pick-up.

15. Security deposits

Security deposits are normally handled directly between the Customer and the Business. Ridalo.al normally does not collect, hold, or return security deposits.

Where a security deposit applies, the Business must disclose the amount and relevant terms before booking, where reasonably possible.

The Business is responsible for collecting the deposit, documenting any claim against it, enforcing it in accordance with the Rental Agreement, and returning any refundable balance. Disputes about deposits are handled primarily between the Customer and the Business.

16. Damage, fines, road tolls, fuel, and other fees

The Customer is responsible for obligations arising from the use of the vehicle under the Rental Agreement, including damage to the vehicle, its loss, traffic or parking fines, road tolls, fuel, late fees, cleaning fees, excess mileage, unauthorized use, and other contractual fees.

These matters are governed by the Rental Agreement between the Customer and the Business. Ridalo.al does not determine whether a damage fee is valid.

17. Insurance

Insurance terms are set by the Business and the Rental Agreement. Customers must carefully review the mandatory insurance, collision damage terms, exclusions, the deductible (excess), theft coverage, liability coverage, geographic restrictions, and prohibited uses.

Ridalo.al does not independently provide insurance, except where expressly stated otherwise.

18. Ratings and reviews

Ridalo.al may allow Customers to leave reviews after a rental. Reviews must be based on a genuine experience, must be accurate, and must not contain unlawful content, threats or harassment, third parties' personal data without a legal basis, or be misleading.

Reviews are not independently verified by Ridalo.al and may be removed or restricted where they violate these requirements. Ridalo.al may use reviews as one factor in determining search results and rankings.

19. Search ranking and sponsored listings

Search results may be influenced by factors such as relevance to the Customer's search, price, availability, location, ratings, booking history, listing completeness, trustworthiness, cancellation history, Customer preferences, and commercial arrangements.

Where a Business pays for a sponsored placement or other commercial advantage that affects visibility, Ridalo.al will identify that placement as sponsored/promotional where required by law. A higher position does not necessarily mean that a vehicle is objectively better than another.

20. Customer obligations and prohibited conduct

Customers agree to: provide accurate information; use valid identity documents and a valid driving license; use the vehicle lawfully; comply with the Rental Agreement and road traffic legislation; not provide misleading information; not misuse the Platform; not attempt to circumvent the booking system; not use stolen payment instruments; and not interfere with the operation of the Platform.

Users must not create false accounts, impersonate other persons, submit false documents, manipulate reviews, attempt payment fraud, use bots without permission, scrape content, inject harmful code, bypass security, or use the Platform for unlawful activity.

Ridalo.al may suspend or close accounts involved in prohibited conduct, including cases of systematically circumventing the booking process to avoid fees, where there is credible evidence.

21. Business responsibility and the absence of full verification

Each Business is solely responsible for: the legality of its business; the legality of renting out any vehicle; legal ownership or possession; registration; insurance; technical condition; maintenance; price; availability; rental terms; its own business taxes; customer identification requirements; security deposits; assessing damages; fines and road tolls; refunds under the Rental Agreement; and compliance with consumer protection requirements.

Although Ridalo.al may request and review information from Businesses as described above, Ridalo.al makes no representation, confirmation, warranty, or assurance regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or authenticity of the information provided by Businesses or Customers, including the identity, ownership, or condition of a vehicle.

Ridalo.al does not carry out full background checks or independent identity verification of Customers; any verification steps that are carried out are intended to improve service quality and do not constitute an endorsement or guarantee of any Business or Customer. Users are responsible for exercising their own judgment and satisfying themselves as to the accuracy of information before relying on it.

22. Ridalo.al's role and limitation of liability

Ridalo.al operates a technology platform and intermediation service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ridalo.al is not liable for matters arising exclusively from the rental relationship between the Customer and the Business, including vehicle defects, mechanical damage, accidents, personal injury caused by use of the vehicle, damage to the vehicle, theft, traffic violations, fines, insurance disputes, deposit disputes, fuel disputes, additional rental charges, conduct of the Business or Customer, or failure to meet rental eligibility requirements.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be lawfully excluded, or any statutory consumer rights that cannot be lawfully waived.

23. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and defend Ridalo.al, its owners, employees, and representatives against any claim, loss, liability, damage, cost, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, misuse of the Platform, violation of the law, or a Rental Agreement to which Ridalo.al is not a party.

This indemnity does not apply where the claim arises from Ridalo.al's own breach of these Terms or from liability that cannot be lawfully excluded.

24. Platform availability and third-party services

Ridalo.al aims to maintain a reliable platform, but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The Platform may occasionally be unavailable due to maintenance, updates, technical failures, cybersecurity incidents, telecommunications failures, failures of third-party services, or circumstances beyond Ridalo.al's reasonable control.

Ridalo.al may rely on third-party providers, including payment processors, hosting providers, analytics providers, email providers, mapping providers, identity verification services, and fraud prevention providers. These providers may have their own terms and privacy policies.

25. Intellectual property and user content

All trademarks, logos, website design, software, text, graphics, and other original materials of the Platform belong to Ridalo.al or its licensors, except where stated otherwise. Users may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, or commercially exploit Ridalo.al's content without prior written permission.

Businesses retain ownership of the content they lawfully upload, but grant Ridalo.al a non-exclusive license to display, reproduce, adapt, and promote that content for the purposes of operating and marketing the Platform.

By submitting photographs, descriptions, reviews, or other content, you confirm that you have the right to submit it, that it does not infringe third-party rights, and that it is not unlawful or misleading. You grant Ridalo.al a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use that content for operating, displaying, and promoting the Platform.

26. Fraud and security

Ridalo.al may take reasonable measures to detect and prevent payment fraud, identity fraud, fake bookings, fake listings, account misuse, review manipulation, and other fraudulent activity.

Ridalo.al may cancel transactions and suspend accounts where reasonably necessary to protect Customers, Businesses, or the Platform.

27. Account registration, eligibility, and security

To create an account or complete a booking, you must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding contract.

You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering and keep it up to date.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for any activity under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, notify us immediately. Ridalo.al is not liable for losses arising from your failure to safeguard your account credentials.

28. Complaints and dispute resolution

Customers must first contact the Business for matters arising directly from the Rental Agreement. Customers may contact Ridalo.al regarding booking issues, payment of the Booking Fee, Platform errors, inaccurate listings, inappropriate conduct by a Business, suspected fraud, and complaints related to the Platform.

Ridalo.al may assist with communication between the parties, but is not obliged to resolve disputes that legally belong exclusively to the Customer and the Business.

Ridalo.al encourages Customers and Businesses to try to resolve disputes amicably. Nothing in these Terms prevents a Customer from exercising mandatory legal rights or filing a complaint with a competent authority where permitted by law.

29. Force majeure

Ridalo.al is not liable for failure or delay in fulfilling its obligations under these Terms where this results from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, extreme weather conditions, fire, war, civil unrest, actions of public authorities, epidemics or pandemics, strikes, telecommunications or internet outages, or the failure of a third-party service provider.

Where such an event affects Ridalo.al's ability to operate the Platform, Ridalo.al will take reasonable steps to notify affected users and to restore normal operation as soon as possible.

30. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the legislation of the Republic of Albania, except where mandatory consumer protection laws of another jurisdiction apply and cannot be lawfully excluded.

Nothing in this clause is intended to remove from a consumer any mandatory rights under the law applicable to them. Where legally permitted, disputes concerning Ridalo.al's own services are subject to the competent Albanian courts.

31. Personal data and privacy

Ridalo.al processes personal data in accordance with the Privacy Policy and applicable data protection legislation, including, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, the legal bases for processing, sharing with Businesses, cookies, retention, international transfers, data subject rights, and how to contact us - see the Privacy page.

32. Electronic communications and language

By using the Platform, you agree to receive communications from Ridalo.al in electronic form, including email, SMS, WhatsApp, or in-app notifications, relating to your account, bookings, and these Terms. You agree that electronic communications satisfy any legal requirement for communication in writing, except where the law requires another form.

These Terms may be provided in Albanian and in other languages for users' convenience. In the event of a conflict between versions, the Albanian version prevails, except where mandatory consumer protection law requires otherwise for a particular user.

33. Changes to these terms

Ridalo.al may update these Terms from time to time. The most recent version is published on the Platform with its effective date.

Where changes materially affect users or existing bookings, Ridalo.al will provide appropriate notice where required by law. Changes will not retroactively remove mandatory rights or materially alter confirmed bookings, except where permitted by law and by the booking terms.

34. Assignment, severability, and entire agreement

Ridalo.al may transfer or assign its rights and obligations under these Terms, including in the event of a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets, provided this does not materially reduce your rights. You may not assign your rights or obligations without Ridalo.al's prior written consent.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, it will be interpreted or modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it lawful, where legally possible; the remaining provisions remain in effect.

Ridalo.al's failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of the right to enforce it later.

These Terms, together with the relevant booking information, the Business's terms, the Privacy Policy, the Cookie Policy, and any other document expressly incorporated into the booking process, constitute the agreement governing the Customer's use of Ridalo.al's services.

35. Customer confirmation

Before completing a booking, the Customer is required to actively confirm: "I have read and accept Ridalo.al's Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. I understand that Ridalo.al is an intermediary platform and that the vehicle rental agreement is made with the Business. I understand the applicable cancellation and refund policy."
